Uncommon Closet was founded as a means to help financially sustain the mission of Uncommon Threads. When you shop at Uncommon Closet, the funds raised from your purchases go directly to programs and services that help to empower women.
We source new and gently worn designer clothes for Uncommon Closet from the wardrobe donations we receive from individuals, local retail outlets and manufacturers. Our trained volunteers carefully assess every item to ensure it serves its best purpose. Clothing that is surplus to our program needs or has a high potential for resale goes to Uncommon Closet.
In addition, shopping resale at Uncommon Closet contributes to sustainability efforts through the reuse and upcycle of clothing, shoes and accessories.
