Announcing Our Newest Initiative!
We have expanded our outreach! We are thrilled to announce the launch of “Senior Style”- an initiative geared toward empowering the more “experienced” woman. We have styling options to accommodate seniors who are able to shop at Uncommon Threads as well as those living in assisted living or nursing facilities. “We believe women of all ages need to feel good about themselves! This program will strive to offer an individual and personal shopping experience, giving her the ability to reclaim her personal style and the independence to choose what she likes,” says Uncommon Threads’ new Senior Style Coordinator, Laura Sarrasin.
For those women who can no longer shop at a store, Laura and her fashionistas will bring the boutique to seniors residing in nursing facilities. They will be treated to an array of accessories, beauty products, and clothing along with personal styling services!
We had our inaugural event at Nevins Nursing Home, and it was an amazing success. Women who had not chosen an article of clothing for themselves in years were able to find a perfect accessory or blouse. Those that attended are still talking about it a month later!
We welcome inquiries from organizations serving our seniors (for partnership opportunities) as well as from individuals or businesses that would like to contribute to this new program. For more information about Senior Style, contact Laura at firstname.lastname@example.org.
