We Love Helping Female Veterans!

Guenevere, an ex-military professional who first came to Uncommon Threads in early February with her adorable toddler along for the ride, as she did not have daycare. Guenevere was in need of an interview outfit, so we immediately set out to provide her an ensemble that was professional and as bright as her personality.

We also provided her with youthful casual clothing thanks to Aventura Clothing. At that time, Guenevere was struggling to get by and was unable to make a donation to our boutique. She cried as she departed, overwhelmed by gratitude for the personal attention and new outfits.

A month later, just before St. Patrick’s Day, Guenevere returned for a second visit, proudly wearing the clothes selected at her previous appointment. Another client, just finishing her appointment, gushed with admiration. Guenevere excitedly told us she had gotten a job with a local bank! She recounted that prior to going on the job interview, she looked at her interview styling pictures on our Facebook page, to refresh the confidence she felt at the session and to make sure she styled the outfit exactly right. “Because of that boost of confidence and feeling great in my interview outfit, I nailed the interview and got the job,” Guenevere beamed.

Guenevere has a beautiful hourglass figure, fabulous hair, and the most amazing attitude. Her return visit to Uncommon Threads was to shop for work clothes as she was starting her new job in a couple of weeks! Four amazing outfits were selected including three dresses and a pair of pants with a top and sweater. She also received a new coat, a pair of gorgeous Patricia Green Collection shoes, and lots of fun accessories!

Her toddler is now happily in daycare, her job is about to start, and Guenevere feels like she can take on the world! As she was leaving, she left a double donation as a thank you for helping empower her with confidence to go out and get that job.

Best of luck in your future banking career Guenevere, you deserve it! We are so proud of you!
