This is not your average clothing program!

This “boutique style” organization takes an outside-in approach to boosting women’s self-esteem through the power of clothes. Our mission is to provide domestic violence survivors and women in need with clothes that will inspire and increase self-confidence,  and self-worth. Our goal is for every client to walk out of Uncommon Threads with a new look, holding her head a little higher, and feeling ready to take on the world!

The Power of Clothes

“The experience took me by surprise. I haven’t felt so cared for in many years! Picking out the outfits, trying on new ones, getting compliments–it was one of the best days in oh so long. Thank you with the bottom of my heart.”  Debby

“I never thought I could be this “put together”. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this good and Uncommon Threads gave me the tools to go out and prove myself to the world. So thankful.”  Diane

“I wear my new clothes with pride, happiness and confidence that I will conquer the day. The best part is that I get a lot of compliments from different  people at work–even my director loves my style and asks me many times where do I get my clothes from!  Susan also gives me style tips, which is the best combination ever.”

“I had no clothes for work…I think I had one outfit. This held me back. I didn’t feel confident that I could manage dressing the way I needed to for work. Uncommon Threads helped me to feel good about myself. I know I can go to work and look the way I should, and it makes me feel proud.”
